We are pleased to have you as a part of the School of Music, Dance and Theatre faculty and staff. Below is a checklist, along with important information, that will be useful throughout your instructional time at ASU.

• [ ] Obtain an ASU Sun Card (ID Card), if needed. Details on the ASU Sun Devil Card Services website.
  This can only be done once your hire has been entered into the system, after the official hire date. Please keep in mind that the system can take a few days to process/update after the official hire date.

The ASU ID policy has been updated to include a Mobile ID. Individuals will receive a Mobile ID accessible via the ASU Mobile App on compatible mobile devices.

• [ ] Complete required new hire paperwork.
  1. Read, sign, date and submit a domestic or **international** new hire packet on or before your first day of employment.
  2. Complete Section 1 of the Form I-9 online.
  3. To complete Section 2 of the Form I-9, **schedule an in-person appointment** and bring original copies of your acceptable documents to your scheduled appointment. See the list of acceptable documentation here.

<aside> ‼️ IMPORTANT: Your new hire paperwork and I-9 verification must be scheduled ASAP, and within 72 hours of your payroll start date. Send a copy of your appointment confirmation to your Business Office staff contact on or before your indicated start date.

• [ ] Update your My ASU personal profile via My ASU or ASU Search.

• [ ] New Employee Orientation – A representative from Herberger HR will enroll you for new employee orientation.

• [ ] Benefits – Your health and other benefits must be elected by the date listed on your New Hire Instructions & Fact Sheet (page 3 or 4 of your offer letter).

• [ ] Upload course syllabi to **My ASU** and to the MDT Syllabi Dropbox.

  • Review Course Syllabi page for complete details regarding syllabus requirements and upload links.

• [ ] Confirm classroom assignments via **ASU’s online Course Catalog.**

• [ ] Office and/or classroom keys – Contact the appropriate email listed below to initiate your key order. Feel free to consult with a representative in your discipline if you need guidance on which key(s) to request.

• [ ] Complete the following required trainings within the first 30 to 90 days of employment:

  • ASU information security training
  • ASU — Your Duty to Report
  • Community of Care training

  • Introduction to Workday
  • Preventing discrimination and harassment training

  *Access to all training will be available in Career EDGE via My ASU once your hire is fully processed in the ASU system. Please keep in mind that the system can take a few days to process/update after the official hire date.
