Time approval is currently managed in Workday.
Employee time must be entered and approved in Workday on a weekly basis.
Time should be entered by the employee on Wednesday each week (for Monday through Sunday).
Time should be approved by supervisors by Friday each week.
Confirm employees have entered all of their hours for the week/pay period, the type of hours is correct (i.e. sick, vacation, holiday, etc.), and the comments are appropriate.
Follow-up with employees who fail to get their time entered in a timely manner.
Consider using the Clock-in/Out feature in for your employees, if appropriate.
Remind employees of early time reporting when notified by Herberger HR or MDT Business Office staff (i.e. due to observed holidays).
Consider reviewing employee entries several times during the week so that you have time to correct them if they are inaccurate.
Entries made in error may be deleted and/or corrected by the manager in the Workday Time and Scheduling Hub.
<aside> ‼️ IMPORTANT: Only approve time entries for the dates worked. Do not knowingly approve time that is lumped together on one date, or submitted for a previous date. Do NOT make comments related to an employee’s health or other topics that may be protected by law or policy.

Adjustments can be made through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday. Employees will not have access to enter after that time, until end of payroll lockout.
Department time approval (DTA) deadline is 12 p.m. each Monday, unless otherwise communicated.
