📌 CONSIDER: Although everyone can potentially participate via Zoom, it may be nice to have the committee all in one space, if possible.

- Send the school APA contact the Applicant List, identifying a short list of candidates, a minimum of one week before intended initial screenings are to take place. This allows ample time to review the short list with Heather, contact candidates for preference of meeting time, and finalize the preliminary screening schedule.
- Identify the time block, length of each screening and time between screenings.
Example: “Friday 8am-12pm, 20 minute interviews, scheduled every 30 minutes”.
- The school APA contact will contact the selected candidates for day and/or time preferences based on the schedule provided. The finalized preliminary screening schedule will be shared via Google Drive as soon as confirmation emails have been sent to each of the candidates.
Requirements during the Preliminary Screenings
- The same questions must asked of each candidate. Committees may follow up on responses provided by candidates for clarification as warranted.
- Confirm permission to contact references during the preliminary screenings. This eliminates the need for an additional step if candidates want to give their verbal approval prior to contact taking place.
