This information is intended for new faculty who have a moving stipend included in their offer letter, to help prepare in moving to the Phoenix/Tempe area.

• The moving stipend will be processed on your first paycheck, net any applicable taxes. You do not need to submit receipts for reimbursement, and can use any method(s) for moving that best suit your needs.
• Alternatively, the school can make direct payments to an ASU approved mover on your behalf, not to exceed the full amount of your stipend. If you choose to use a professional mover and the move is being funded directly by ASU in this manner, you must use one of the moving companies on contract with ASU, found here.
  • Associated tax for any payments made to an ASU approved mover will be deducted from one of your first paychecks. Many new faculty find this option can be cumbersome compared to the stipend option listed above.
