SSM 304–15: Duration of Employment for Graduating Student Employees

• Federal Work-Study (FWS) employment eligibility ends on degree conferral but employees can remain hourly for two weeks after degree conferral.
• Hourly employment eligibility ends two weeks after degree conferral.
• International F-1 and J-1 undergraduate students cannot work beyond ASU's Commencement date/Degree conferral date.
• International F-1 and J-1 graduate students cannot work beyond their degree completion date. Please see the information on the International Students and Scholars Center website to determine their degree completion date.
